Frequently asked questions about our cheap Perth wedding service
What is Cheapest Weddings in Perth?
We are Perth's most affordable private celebrant service. We provide low-cost, paperwork-only, registry-style legal marriages from $700. We are not a government registry — we are private celebrants who keep things cheap, simple, and properly handled.
How do we get started?
Click Get Married, complete the booking form, and pay the fee. Then prepare your NOIM with NOIM Easy, have it witnessed properly, and send the paperwork to us. That is the whole process.
When is our date locked in?
We confirm the date, time, and location after we receive your NOIM and supporting documents and check our availability. Do not book flights or venues before the date is confirmed.
How much does the service cost?
Our paperwork-only marriage service starts from $700 — one of the most affordable legal wedding options in Perth. Optional add-ons like our witness service or after-hours appointments are listed separately on the pricing page.
Do we still need one month notice?
Yes. Your NOIM must be received at least one full calendar month before your marriage date unless a prescribed authority approves a shortening of time. Plan ahead — this is a legal requirement, not a preference.
Do we need witnesses?
Yes. Australian law requires two witnesses who are, or appear to be, over 18. You can bring your own — which costs you nothing — or book our witness service if you need help arranging them.
How long does the appointment actually take?
Most paperwork-only marriages take five to ten minutes once everyone is present and ready to sign. You will not be there all day. That is the whole point.
Can we get married online?
No. The marriage must happen in person with both partners, the celebrant, and two witnesses present. That is a legal requirement under Australian marriage law.
Can we turn this into a full ceremony?
This service is for paperwork-only marriages. If you want an elopement with styling and scenery, use the Elopement Collective. If you want a full wedding ceremony with guests and a personalised script, use Josh Withers.
What documents do we need for the NOIM?
Usually a passport, or a birth certificate or official extract plus photo ID. If either of you has been married before, you will need a divorce order or death certificate. Non-English documents usually need a NAATI translation.
Can one of us sign the NOIM separately?
Often yes. In some situations one partner can give notice first and the other can sign later before the marriage date. Ask us if your situation is complicated and we will explain the cleanest way to do it.
